The job
What this project actually was.
A Sam Hughes home built in the 1950s with original concrete tile that's been through multiple underlayment cycles. We salvaged the original tiles where possible (about 80% sound), replaced the underlayment, and sourced matching profiles for the broken pieces. Sam Hughes falls under City of Tucson Historic Preservation Zoning; we coordinated the architectural review submittal as part of the job.
Materials —
- Polystick TU MAX underlayment
- Original concrete tile (~80% salvaged)
- Lead flashing at chimney and vent transitions
